Hospital Registered Practical Nurse opportunity at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, focused on acute medicine, physical assessment, and patient-centred care.
As part of the Medicine Team, you will apply nursing knowledge within your full scope of practice. Your work includes clinical treatments, patient monitoring, interdisciplinary reporting, documentation, and support for patients’ daily activities. Patient and family education, discharge planning, and community resource knowledge are also key.
Key Responsibilities: Apply nursing knowledge through patient assessment
Deliver treatments and procedures within scope of practice
Monitor patients receiving blood products
Document changes in patients’ overall state




Offer supportive emotional care to patients and families
Requirements: Medication administration course required
Demonstrated knowledge of discharge planning and community resources
Ability to work in multidisciplinary patient-centred teams
Excellent verbal, written, and negotiating skills
Intravenous certification or willingness to obtain within six months
Use physical assessment, clinical monitoring, and communication skills to support exceptional medicine care as a Registered Practical Nurse.
