We are seeking individuals who are motivated, highly self-regulated, have outstanding capacity for compassion, especially for the elderly and vulnerable sectors of our population, and wish to be part of an ongoing project in the care sphere. A PSW diploma from an accredited Canadian college is required, with preference given to those with previous experience in caregiving work. Strong references encouraged, and a clean CPIC Vulnerable Sector check dated within the last six months, as well as First Aid/CPR certification are all necessary. Employees will operate on employee status, casual hours to begin. This would be perfect for those individuals with a part or full time position, looking to add billable hours at a competitive wage, without the hassle of beginning one's own enterprise. As with all care positions, we stress the importance of confidentiality and dignity in our care processes. Duties and Scope include, but not limited to:
- Provide only services assigned by PCCH and included in the client care plan.
- Support bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, companionship, respite and other authorized activities within training and role.
- Observe and promptly report material changes in client condition, safety risks, incidents and concerns.
- Complete service notes, time records and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Remain within training, competence, lawful authority and PCCH medication/scope policies. Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour Application question(s):
