This Senior Underwriter, Commercial Lines, Mid Market role operates under minimal supervision. You will assess high premium volume business, collaborate with sales, and provide expertise to policyholders. The work includes risk analysis, renewals, reinsurance, policy processes, and business change.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze risks using technology and external data sources
Quote, negotiate, and authorize acceptable risks
Arrange reinsurance or subscribing companies when appropriate
Determine renewal eligibility using company guidelines and retention goals
Mentor team members and support business change
Requirements: Five years of Property and Casualty industry experience
Post-secondary education or related business experience
Completed or pursuing a Property and Casualty designation
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
