Registered Practical Nurses provide individualized resident care while coordinating nursing services and supervising health care aides in a retirement home.

Reporting to the Health and Wellness Manager, this regular part time position supports geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term nursing. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals. The work includes resident teaching, discharge planning, communication with relatives,



and therapy participation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate individualized physical and emotional resident care
• Initiate care plans with multidisciplinary team members
• Supervise health care aides and provide direction
• Communicate resident conditions and care with relatives
• Liaise with physicians, consultants, and support staff

Requirements:

• Current College of Nurses of Ontario certificate of competence
• Completed Registered Practical Nurse program with medication administration
• Ontario medication administration certificate or evaluated equivalent
• Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term nursing
• Knowledge of applicable retirement home and health legislation
