Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year

About the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Port Coquitlam. You’ll analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to help prepare accurate, profitable estimates covering material, labour, time, and cost. This is a outstanding step for someone with electrical take-off experience who wants to grow in estimating.

What You’ll Do

Receive and review contractor drawings for bidding

Complete material take-offs and counts from drawings, with supervision

Determine material and labour requirements and prepare itemized lists

Request quotes from suppliers and sort pricing confirmations

Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors

Assist Project Managers with Change Notice estimates

Help compile job closing information, including time constraints

Consult with clients, vendors,



and internal teams to formulate estimates and resolve issues

Support other team members in the department as needed

What You’ll Bring
One of the following:

2 years' experience in electrical contracting involving take-offs, OR

Licensed electrician with take-off experience, OR

Completion of an Estimating program at a recognized post-secondary institution plus 1+ year of construction site experience, OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience

Plus:

Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to interpret drawings

Problem solving, decision making, research, and analysis skills

Mathematical reasoning and a quality-focused mindset
