This Winter Term 2 internship supports the Global Markets, Residential Mortgage Trading team. You will assist with mortgage acquisition, funding, pooling, and securitization while analyzing portfolio data and Canadian mortgage markets. The work connects insured and conventional mortgages with hedging, risk management, and MBS transactions.
Key Responsibilities: Assist mortgage acquisition, funding, pooling, and securitization activities
Monitor exposures and prepare accurate risk-management reporting
Analyze mortgage, lender, and portfolio data for trends
Build tools and automate reporting using Excel and Python




Research Canadian mortgage and fixed income markets
Requirements: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Curiosity about capital markets, mortgages, or securitization
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and large-dataset comfort
Robust Python proficiency for analysis and automation
Clear communication, detail orientation, and adaptability
Develop residential mortgage trading capabilities through analysis, automation, securitization research, and risk reporting at TD Securities.
