Imperial seeks a Principal of Mine Tailings & Closure as its senior technical subject matter expert. This position guides tailings, water management, reclamation, and closure across the asset lifecycle. You will influence strategic decisions, provide technical governance, mentor professionals, and represent Imperial with regulators and industry organizations.

Review decisions, designs, standards, and governance frameworks
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geoscience
Professional Engineer registration or Alberta registration eligibility
18+ years’ progressively responsible experience in related disciplines
Expertise in tailings, water, reclamation, closure, or mining
Open pit mining and regulatory agency experience
Bring technical leadership, risk-informed judgment, and stakeholder communication to Imperial’s tailings and closure priorities in Edmonton.
