Addiction medicine nursing anchors this Registered Nurse position with same day screening, assessments, and care coordination at Youth Addiction Treatment Cntr. Support recovery oriented care within RAAM’s interdisciplinary team.
As a Registered Nurse in Mental Health & Addictions, you will provide evidence based services for substance use and concurrent mental health challenges. You will use nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making while teaching, counselling, and advocating. The role supports integrated, holistic, patient and family centered care consistent with Recovery Alberta’s vision and values.
Key Responsibilities: Complete nursing health assessments and same day screening
Support intake, treatment planning, referrals, and follow up




Implement nursing and medication interventions within scope
Coordinate care transitions and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Contribute to quality improvement, safety, and interdisciplinary decisions
Requirements: Accredited nursing education program completion
Active or eligible CRNA registration and practice permit
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Health Care Provider certification
Three to five years clinical experience preferred
Mental health or addictions experience preferred
Apply nursing assessment, care coordination, and advocacy skills to support clients across the addiction treatment continuum.
