Take Bells of Steel’s mobile platform toward public launch while building sensor evidence in Calgary’s hybrid technical leadership role.
As Senior Technical Lead, you will own a React Native/Expo and TypeScript training app across Android, iOS, and web. The six-month contract also covers Supabase/Postgres backend systems, local-first data, BLE capture, wearable experiments, and applied machine learning evaluation. Your decisions will support the December 2026 app launch and March 2027 sensor milestone.
Key Responsibilities: Take the application through release and ongoing operation
Debug state, synchronization, recovery, and backend failures
Build versioned datasets and model interfaces
Separate participants and sessions during experiments
Set priorities and make delivery calls with the founder
Requirements: Experience developing for both iOS and Android
Experience with production mobile releases and support
Robust practical React, TypeScript, SQL, APIs, and authorization
Experience with BLE data capture
Usually six-plus years of technical ownership and design
Bring mobile release ownership, backend depth, and applied ML judgment to Bells of Steel’s Calgary product roadmap.
