We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join an engineering organization in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Contract basis.

This contract chance is well suited to a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can step into month-end and year-end activities, strengthen general ledger accuracy, and investigate financial variances with confidence.

The assignment is expected to run for approximately 4 to 6 weeks, with the possibility of continuing through the early December reporting period.

This role offers the chance to contribute independently while supporting critical accounting deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: • Support month-end and year-end accounting activities, with particular attention to maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. • Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, verify supporting details, and ensure financial records are complete and accurate.



• Analyze fluctuations in account activity, research irregular items, and resolve discrepancies through timely follow-up. • Examine liability balances and related documentation to help prepare accurate year-end financial information. • Investigate accounting concerns by identifying root causes and recommending practical corrections where needed. • Provide occasional assistance with accounts payable and accounts receivable reviews, focusing on exception handling and issue resolution rather than volume processing. • Organize and prepare required financial data to help meet early December year-end submission deadlines. • Contribute to the review and assessment of accounting software options, including participation in testing and evaluation activities if required.
