Robert Half seeking an interim Senior Accountant for a Scarborough client with strong distribution industry experience to help stabilize and strengthen the accounting function.

This is a hands-on role for a tech-savvy accounting professional who can work effectively in a legacy systems environment, bring financial reporting up to date, and support ongoing process improvements.

This role is 5 days onsite.

Key Responsibilities Manage month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Bring financial reporting and analysis current and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness Assess gaps in the ERP system and drive practical improvements Establish a reliable reporting cadence for leadership and lenders Extract and analyze data from legacy systems to support accounting and reporting needs Provide robust support across controllership, accounting operations, and financial analysis Assist with process improvements and strengthen overall accounting discipline
