Alberta Corrections seeks Correctional Peace Officers for adult, youth, and community-based corrections environments. You will support care and custody while maintaining centre safety and security. The work requires interpersonal skills, sound judgment, communication, and basic computer skills.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor inmate movement, conduct patrols, and complete counts
Manage behaviour, conduct searches, and maintain centre security
Provide support, guidance, and positive role modelling
Complete reports, data entry, and related administrative duties




Maintain safety for staff, inmates, and the public
Requirements: High School diploma and two years of related experience
Conflict management and de-escalation experience
Valid unrestricted Class 5 Canadian Driver’s License
Standard First Aid and CPR Level-C with AED certification
Physical capability and eligibility to work in Canada
Bring sound judgment, communication, and conflict management skills to Correctional Peace Officer work with Alberta Corrections.
