Operate within Odfjell Drilling’s Technical department, maintaining engine-room equipment, power systems, and documentation offshore Newfoundland. Equal rotation is offered.
This Engine Room Operator contract supports Hercules, a DP3 sixth-generation ultra-deepwater semi-submersible. Reporting to technical section leadership, you will supervise the Motorman and assist with maintenance work. The position requires practical knowledge of diesel, water, lubricating oil, air, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities: Follow maintenance programs and complete daily equipment maintenance
Assist with maintenance work across assigned technical responsibilities
Track diesel consumption in the engine log
Understand diesel, water, oil, air, and hydraulic systems




Perform emergency duties under the unit’s organization
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification
Unlimited Canadian Fourth-Class Engineer License or STCW equivalent
One year on a sixth-generation ultra-deepwater semi-submersible
One year conducting Posmoor ATA operations on semi-submersibles
Integrity, analytical ability, and robust English communication skills
Bring marine machinery knowledge, organized maintenance practices, and technical communication skills to Odfjell Drilling’s Hercules unit.
