This Director of Finance role oversees reporting, controls, and financial operations supporting Newton’s expansion. You will advise stakeholders on accounting implications for business plans and product features. The position also includes technical accounting research, tax coordination, and financial statement support for the CFO.
Key Responsibilities: Review and supervise the corporate accountant
Maintain accrual, intercompany, and journal entry schedules
Assess accounting issues tied to current products
Research and implement technical accounting solutions
Assist with financial statement notes and reporting
Requirements: CPA designation and working knowledge of IFRS
Minimum 10 years of accounting experience
External audit experience at a national or global firm
CIRO financial reporting and Form 1 knowledge
Experience converting systems from Sage to QBO
Use accounting judgment, stakeholder guidance, and reporting expertise to strengthen financial operations at Newton across Canada.
