* Willing to hire for the same position and pay for Moncton, NB OR Edmonton, AB if suitable employee is available in either location Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pallet Racking Designer / Project Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing warehouse pallet racking layouts using AutoCAD, coordinating projects from initial design through installation, providing customer support, and obtaining the necessary permits and approvals from municipalities when required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drawing skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects while ensuring accuracy, customer satisfaction, and compliance with applicable building codes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Pallet Racking Design & AutoCAD Layouts ● Prepare detailed warehouse pallet racking layouts using AutoCAD. ● Design and modify racking configurations based on customer requirements, warehouse dimensions, and operational needs. ● Develop floor plans showing rack locations, aisle widths, clearances, and warehouse layouts. ● Review site measurements, warehouse drawings, and customer specifications to ensure accurate designs. ● Coordinate with sales representatives, customers, suppliers, and installation teams to finalize layouts. ● Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, fire safety requirements, and local regulations. ● Revise drawings as required based on customer feedback, site conditions, and project specifications. 2. Project Management & Coordination ● Manage warehouse racking projects from the initial design stage through installation and completion. ● Coordinate project schedules, deliveries, installations, and customer requirements. ● Communicate with customers, installers, suppliers, and internal team members to ensure projects remain on schedule. ● Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completion. ● Identify potential project challenges and coordinate solutions.



● Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, approvals, and installation records. ● Conduct follow-ups with customers and installation teams to ensure projects meet expectations. 3. Customer Service & Support ● Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the design and project process. ● Respond to customer inquiries regarding racking layouts, project timelines, installations, and technical specifications. ● Provide updates on project status and coordinate changes when required. ● Assist customers with layout revisions, additional racking requirements, and project-related questions. ● Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. ● Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and reliable follow-up. 4. Municipal Permits & Approvals ● Determine when municipal permits or other approvals are required for warehouse pallet racking installations. ● Prepare and organize the necessary drawings, applications, and supporting documentation for permit submissions. ● Submit permit applications to the appropriate municipalities and follow up with city officials throughout the approval process. ● Coordinate with municipal building departments, fire prevention departments, engineers, and other authorities as required. ● Track permit applications, approval timelines, and outstanding requirements. ● Coordinate drawing revisions and additional documentation requested by municipal authorities. ● Ensure all required permits and approvals are obtained before work proceeds when legally required. ● Maintain organized records of permit applications, approvals, and related project documentation. Qualifications & Requirements ● Experience with AutoCAD and technical drawing preparation. ● Experience in warehouse pallet racking,



material handling, industrial storage systems, or a related field is an asset. ● Knowledge of warehouse layouts, rack configurations, aisle spacing, and storage systems. ● Strong project coordination and organizational skills. ● Excellent customer service and communication abilities. ● Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, warehouse plans, and technical specifications. ● Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and building regulations is an asset. ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. ● Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. ● Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills. ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications ● Previous experience designing pallet racking layouts using AutoCAD. ● Knowledge of selective pallet racking, double-deep racking, drive-in racking, push-back racking, and other warehouse storage systems. ● Experience coordinating warehouse installations and working with installation crews. ● Familiarity with local building codes, fire protection requirements, and municipal permit applications. ● Experience coordinating with engineers and municipal authorities for warehouse racking permits.
