Job Title: Account Manager Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Manager SUMMARY CFR Chemicals has the immediate requirement for an Account Manager located in the Grande Prairie area. Primary role will involve managing a sales territory that targets growth through the development of new accounts, while growing the relationship with existing customers. Key Responsibility Areas and Specific Expectations The Account Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· Develop strong relationships with existing and recent customers including plant and facility personnel;
· Achieve or exceed planned sales and margin targets for the assigned territory, while maintaining expenses within assigned budgeted guidelines;
· Liaising with all levels of customer organizations to understand needs and opportunities, and sharing this information with Corporate Development Team;
· Participate in the preparation and implementation of annual territory budgets for the assigned territory;
· Manage inventory levels at remote sites within your territory and ensure their profitability. QUALIFICATIONS As an ideal candidate your background will include:
· a minimum five years’ experience in progressive sales,
marketing and/or business development within the chemical and/or oil and gas industry;
· Post-Secondary education or equivalent in Business, Engineering or Chemistry;
· experience in providing sales, marketing or relationship management leadership in the delivery of process or specialty chemicals;
· strong working knowledge of the chemical and oil and gas sector;
· sound business and technical acumen, with the ability to develop long term business relationships.
