About the Role
We are looking for an experienced transportation sourcing professional to own the end-to-end supplier management of our linehaul carrier network. In this role, you will build and maintain a reliable, cost-competitive carrier base to support our cross-border and domestic freight operations. You will be the key person responsible for carrier sourcing, negotiation, contract execution, performance management, and settlement — bridging operations, finance, and external partners to keep our network running efficiently. Responsibilities
- Carrier Sourcing & Development: Develop, evaluate, and manage linehaul transportation suppliers (trucking companies, asset-based carriers, and 3PL partners); build a robust carrier pool and continuously expand sourcing channels to ensure sufficient capacity across regions.
- Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead supplier price negotiations, rate benchmarking, and contract signing; manage the full RFP/RFQ process and ensure terms align with company cost targets and compliance requirements.
- Supplier Onboarding: Drive the carrier onboarding process — qualification review, documentation, rate setup, system configuration, and alignment on service-level standards — to ensure new suppliers are operationally ready.
- Performance Management & Rating System: Establish and maintain a supplier rating/evaluation system; regularly review carrier performance (on-time performance, service quality, claim rates), and issue periodic analysis reports to support supplier selection and retention decisions.
- Cost Control & Analysis:



Monitor freight costs and market rates; conduct cost analysis and identify optimization opportunities to improve transportation cost efficiency.
- Billing & Settlement Coordination: Coordinate billing, invoicing, and settlement with suppliers and internal finance teams; resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, dispatch, and finance teams to understand capacity needs, align service requirements, and ensure smooth execution of freight plans; act as the key contact for carrier-related issues and escalations. Requirements
- Must-have: 3PL experience — at least 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation supplier/vendor management, with a mandatory background in a third-party logistics (3PL) company.
- Preferred: trucking/carrier company experience — candidates with hands-on experience working in or directly managing trucking companies, asset-based carriers, or linehaul operations are strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in supplier sourcing, onboarding, price negotiation, and contract execution.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong skills in data analysis, cost control, and negotiation; proficiency in Excel (and data visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau is a plus).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; bilingual (English & Mandarin) is preferred given our cross-border operations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
