About the Role The Faculty is seeking professionals interested in contributing their expertise to teach in the Education Assistant Extension Certificate program.

Responsibilities Review and become familiar with approved course content, concepts, materials, and the learning management system (LMS) course site.

Comply with Mount Royal University and Continuing Education policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.

Plan course schedule and update course outline, as required.

Attend instructor meetings, as required.

Deliver approved course content and learning activities.

Assess and grade learner assignments and assessments.

Provide timely learner communication, feedback, and support, including course announcements through the LMS and individual meetings, as required.

Facilitate scheduled online class meetings, as required.

Communicate with the programming team throughout the duration of the course, as required.





Submit learner final grades.

Participate in grade reviews and appeals, as required.

Provide feedback and recommendations to the programming team regarding course delivery and the learner experience.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education.

Minimum five (5) years teaching experience.

Knowledge of current professional practices relevant to the program area.

Ability to connect program concepts to practical workplace applications and professional examples.

Effective facilitation/instructional skills in adult learning environments.

Proficiency with the D2L learning management system or equivalent.

Proficiency with Google Workspace (including Google Meet).

Understanding of the principles of adult education.

Professionalism (including excellent communication skills).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Continuous learning mindset.

Working knowledge of copyright and APA citation is an asset
