We can teach you the rest Wild West Shooting Centre is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and safety-minded individuals to join our team as Range Safety Officers As one of Edmonton's indoor shooting ranges, we welcome everyone from first-time shooters to experienced firearms enthusiasts. Our goal is simple: provide every guest with a safe, exciting, and memorable shooting experience. As a Range Safety Officer, you'll be at the heart of that experience. You'll introduce guests to firearms, guide them through their shooting sessions, and help create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, confident, and welcome. We're looking for great people first. While firearms knowledge is important, we place just as much value on personality, communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others. We'll provide the training needed to develop your skills and confidence as a Range Safety Officer. What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests and creating a friendly, positive shooting experience.
- Introducing first-time shooters to firearms and safe handling practices.
- Providing clear, patient, and engaging instruction to customers of all experience levels.
- Actively supervising shooting activities and ensuring range safety procedures are followed.
- Confidently and professionally enforcing safety rules when necessary.
- Assisting guests with questions and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit.
- Preparing and maintaining firearms, equipment, and shooting areas.
- Assisting with ammunition inventory and general range operations.
- Working alongside a supportive team to maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment. What We're Looking For
- Valid Canadian Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) required. RPAL is an asset.
- A friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Patience and confidence when teaching or guiding others.
- A responsible,



safety-conscious mindset and good judgment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, recreation, coaching, or instruction is an asset.
- Previous firearms or shooting range experience is an asset, but not required. You don't need to be a firearms expert to join our team. If you're great with people, have a valid PAL, and are eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you Schedule & Availability
- Minimum availability of 3 shifts per week (Part-Time Position)
- Must be available for a combination of weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
