We provide affordable, accessible, and high-quality dance education to children throughout Toronto. We are seeking a talented, energetic, and experienced Hip Hop Dance Team Coach & Choreographer to lead our youth dance team. Position Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for choreographing original Hip Hop routines, coaching young dancers, and preparing the team for performances and potential competitions. We are looking for a passionate leader who can challenge dancers, develop their skills, and create a positive, disciplined, and exciting team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Choreography & Training
- Create original, age-appropriate Hip Hop choreography.
- Plan and lead structured weekly rehearsals.
- Teach Hip Hop technique, musicality, synchronization, formations, and performance skills.
- Develop dancers’ confidence, stamina, coordination, and stage presence.
- Provide individual feedback and monitor progress. Team Coaching & Leadership
- Build a motivated, supportive, and disciplined team.
- Establish clear expectations for attendance, effort, teamwork, and behaviour.
- Encourage dancers to achieve their personal best.
- Prepare the team for recitals, showcases, and potential competitions.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.



Professional Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and fully prepared for every rehearsal.
- Maintain professional communication with management.
- Follow Dance Kids Canada policies and safety procedures.
- Attend scheduled performances and additional rehearsals when required. Qualifications Required:
- Strong Hip Hop dance and choreography background.
- Experience teaching or coaching children and youth.
- Ability to create engaging group choreography.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, qualified, and enthusiastic.
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check. Preferred:
- Previous competitive or performance dance team coaching experience.
- Experience preparing dancers for stage performances.
- Training in multiple Hip Hop styles.
- First Aid and CPR certification. Position Details

- Time: 7:15 PM – 8:15 PM

- Hours: 1 scheduled coaching hour per week, plus any separately arranged performances or additional rehearsals.
