Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) / Caregiver to provide individualized care for a senior client residing in a private condominium in Thornhill, Ontario. This position requires someone who is professional, patient, observant, and proactive in identifying the client’s daily needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, providing personal care and companionship, and maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive home environment. This is a consistent weekend position requiring availability every Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living, including grooming, hygiene, dressing, and toileting as required.
- Provide meaningful companionship, conversation,



and emotional support.
- Support safe mobility, transfers, positioning, and fall prevention according to the individualized care plan.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, and maintaining hydration.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishes, tidying, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Provide medication reminders and assistance only as authorized within the care plan and applicable scope of practice.
- Observe and promptly report any changes in the client’s physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
- Encourage independence while respecting the client’s personal preferences, privacy, and dignity.
- Maintain accurate care documentation and communicate relevant updates to the care team.
- Follow all organizational policies, safety protocols, and individualized care instructions. Qualifications & Requirements Required:
- Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or recognized equivalent nursing qualification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Clear police background screening, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Ability to reliably commute to the Yonge Street and Highway 407 area in Thornhill.
- Availability every Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Strong communication, interpersonal,



and organizational skills.
- Professional, punctual, compassionate, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently and follow an individualized care plan.
- MUST BE MALE Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing care to seniors.
- Previous experience in private home care, retirement residences, long-term care, or similar healthcare settings.
- Experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, mobility limitations, or other age-related conditions.
