An opportunity to become a core Village Person For over 20 years, The Village has been where Victoria comes for brunch: regulars who know us by name, plates we're proud of, and a kitchen that runs like a team. Many of our cooks have been with us five years or more. They stay because the work is good, the people are good, and they're home in time for dinner. We're growing our Estevan team carefully. We're looking for an experienced hot-side cook who loves the line as much as we do, and who will help round out an incredibly strong team. THE KITCHEN Estevan Village – 2518 Estevan Ave, Oak Bay THE SHIFT All-day brunch, seven days a week. Shifts run between 6:30am and 3:30pm. No dinner service, no late closes, no split shifts. You cook through the rush with people who have your back, and the rest of the day is yours. THE JOB Hot side is what we need: grill, pans, poached eggs. You'll also spend time on the cold side, expediting and plating, and on prep, working through recipes and knife work, so you know this kitchen from every angle. Weekend mornings are busy, and we love it that way. Tickets move fast, the line stays calm, and every plate goes out right. We cook from scratch, and our Bennys on latkes have been made the same way for two decades. We'll show you how we do it, and we'll trust you to own it. WHO WE'RE HOPING TO MEET
- A line cook at heart, with 2+ years on a hot line and real grill experience
- Someone who stays steady, fast, and clean when the board fills up
- Full weekend availability is a must.



Every Saturday and Sunday, when our guests need us most. We also understand that sometimes you need a weekend off and we do our best to accomodate when important things in your life come up on these days.

- $22–26/hour to start, depending on experience
- Plus tips, currently averaging $3–6/hour, paid out daily
- Daytime hours. Your evenings are yours.
