Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and talented Music Director for our youth production of *Disney's High School Musical 2 JR*. The ideal candidate will have a background in performance and experience working with youth ages 11-17. Rehearsals will run Jan 21st-May 9th, Thursdays 6:30-9pm and Sundays 2:30-5:30pm at Rockway P.
S. in Kitchener. Our Show Week is May 10th-15th, 2027 at Cambridge Arts Theatre. Please Note: This position may require hours beyond the expected 5.5-8 hour range per week during Show Week, including required Dress Rehearsals Mon, May 10th and Tues, May 12th from 5-9pm. Responsibilities
- Running rehearsals with the creative team.
- Leading and teaching vocal exercises to the cast.
- Assessing cast members’ vocal ranges and opportunities for growth.
- Managing an audition process and working with the Director to cast all participants.
- Working with the Creative Team to carry out rehearsals, dress rehearsals,



and bring the dramatic performance to completion on the stage. Qualifications
- Experience as a Music Director or similar role (music program, vocal coach, choir, etc)
- Ability to educate and inspire children and youth of diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in written communication for program planning
- First Aid/CPR Training or willingness to complete
- Vulnerable Sector Check

Job Type
s: Part time, Fixed term contract Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
