Full-time Seasonal Camp Caretaker – Sudbury Area We are looking for a dependable and self‑motivated Seasonal Camp Caretaker to oversee the general operations, upkeep and maintenance of a small, private campground and cabin rental property in the Sudbury area for the July to September 2027 season. This full time role is ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors, likes meeting new people, takes pride in maintaining grounds and buildings, and can work independently with minimal supervision. The successful person, who will live on-site in provided accommodations, will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of this rustic camp which has 3 cabins, 3 campsites and a boat launch. Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests and managing check-ins and check-outs
- Managing reservations and communicating with guests
- Assisting guests and providing a welcoming, positive experience
- Overseeing the 3 cabins, 3 campsites and boat launch
- Maintaining the property and grounds, including mowing and general upkeep
- Ensuring campground rules and property policies are followed
- Handling payments and basic cash management
- Cleaning and preparing cabins between guests
- Performing light maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ensuring the property is clean, safe, organized,



and well maintained
- Ensuring buildings are secure and reporting any concerns
- Assisting with seasonal tasks such as opening/closing the camp and winterizing, as needed

Qualifications:

- Experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, and/or caretaking is an asset
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to work independently and problem‑solve on the spot
- Reliable, trustworthy, and attentive to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of tools and small repairs
- Must have access to transportation to and from the camp Term:
- Full-time seasonal position (July to September 2027) with one training week required in June.
- Hours vary based on camp needs; weekend work is required
- Continued seasonal employment in future years for the right candidate Compensation: $18 an hour; accommodation included
