Interworks has been in business for over 25 years and we are seeking an experienced Apprentice or Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using power tools and equipment. This role involves working on commercial construction sites, renovations, and installations, as we are the Prime Contractor. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

What You’ll Do: Always adhere to company Health and Safety policies and procedures, and OH&S; Legislation. Report to and follow instructions from the Site Supervisor. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and working under pressure or timelines. Perform tasks of substantial variety and complexity, which require a thorough knowledge of fitting techniques, materials, tools, machines, and equipment. Installing wooden structures such as doors, door frames, stud work, etc. Installation of drywall with backing. Adding fixtures/fittings such as door handles, hinges, locks, etc. Fill out time sheet, safety logs, FLHA’s, and toolbox meetings. Liaising with Project Manager to ensure proper materials are used,



timeline and budget. Ability to perform physical labor & lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs. Complete site cleaning and general tasks. Climb to heights and conduct work with proper Fall Protection System and be certified. Navigate the construction site terrain. Attend all training courses as required. Attend all work-related safety meetings.

Qualifications:
Journeyman Carpenter or Red Seal certification, or equivalent. CSTS 2020 & First Aid considered an asset. Sound knowledge of building codes and construction regulations. Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational, written and communication skills, and works well with others. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Willing to work in multiple locations throughout Alberta. Must be able to obtain a personal security clearance. Must be punctual, reliable, and motivated to work. Team player with a positive attitude. Excellent salary and benefits provided.
