##### POSITION VACANCY One (1) Permanent Part-time Position Counsellor 1 – Day Treatment Twenty=one (21) hours biweekly (This is a unionized position) ##### MANAGER Clinical Manager ##### SERVICE Day Treatment ##### JOB RATE $29.51 per hour ### Position Summary The Counsellor – Day Treatment is responsible for the daily operation of services to children in the Day Treatment classroom within both the elementary and secondary school levels. In this role, the Counsellor oversees the service delivery to ensure that individual treatment plans are consistently applied in an atmosphere that is conducive to treatment and based on therapeutically sound principles. The Counsellor works with teams to coordinate and implement the treatment plans as required. This position will support staffing needs across the Day Treatment program. ### Qualifications
- Social Service Worker Diploma or Child and Youth Worker Certificate or equivalent;
- 2 years practical experience working with children, youth and families, preferably in a school setting;
- Familiarity with offering services via virtual platforms (i.e. email, text, online counselling) would be considered an asset however, if direct virtual supports are unfamiliar then an understanding of the various forms of virtual care as well as an understanding of clinical and privacy responsibilities would be an asset;




- Working knowledge and experience in cooperative goal setting and treatment planning and Evidence-based/Evidence Informed modalities to address goals;
- Good communication and organizational skills;
- Bilingual in (French and English) is preferred;
- Experience working with the Indigenous community is an asset;
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Records Check within the last 6 months
- Current certification in Emergency First Aid CPR C and AED, Safe Management Training, and Safe Food Handling;
- Valid Driver’s License, able to supply own vehicle and be insurable to drive in Ontario;

- This position is eligible to pick up shifts in Live in Treatment Services (LITS), Admin and Walk-in, upon completion of applicable training in accordance with the Relief Protocol at the Relief rate. *LITS conditions of employment will apply and as such, will be required to meet the qualification requirements for Licensing purposes, which include a satisfactory Broad Records Check within one year and Offence Declaration yearly as well as meeting the medical requirements under the CYFSA, Regulations for Licensing of Residences; ### Application
