Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an MRP Controller / Tooling Coordinator to support the end to end management of custom tooling used in the manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of aircraft engines.

This role acts as the critical link between internal customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams, ensuring tooling requirements are clearly understood, communicated, manufactured, inspected, and delivered on schedule.
• Manage custom tooling orders from initial request through manufacturing, delivery, repair, and return.
• Interpret customer requirements, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand technical and manufacturing requirements.
• Review 2D and 3D technical drawings and understand how tooling components are fabricated and inspected.
• Coordinate with machine shops, toolmakers, CNC teams, CMM inspection teams, suppliers, and internal manufacturing stakeholders.
• Develop clear work instructions and communicate technical requirements to external suppliers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding tooling questions, deviations, tolerances, clearances, manufacturing issues, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate tooling shipments, repairs, returns, and overall logistics activities.
• Monitor tooling projects, track progress, and document key milestones within internal management systems.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing and shop floor teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Review and assess tooling deviations when tools are returned from suppliers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization efforts.

Skills and Requirements
• Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience in tooling, machining, manufacturing, machine shops, CNC operations, toolmaking, or a related technical environment.
• Robust understanding of how custom tools and components are fabricated, ideally including CNC machining, machining processes,



CMM inspection, and toolmaking.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, tooling requirements, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing specifications.
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes and confidently discuss technical issues with suppliers, machinists, toolmakers, and internal teams.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with project coordination or project management, including tracking timelines, priorities, deliverables, and project status.
• Fully bilingual in French and English.
• Previous experience as a machinist, toolmaker, CNC technician/operator, tooling coordinator/controller, or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience working with durable tooling, jigs, fixtures, gauges, or custom manufacturing tools.
• Experience with CMM inspection or dimensional inspection processes.
• Exposure to CATIA, Solid

Works, or other 3D CAD platforms.
• Experience supporting machine shops or CNC manufacturing environments.
• Experience estimating manufacturing costs and lead times.
