Job Summary The General Farm Labourer supports daily farm operations through hands-on work in horticulture, irrigation, equipment care, and general maintenance. This active role involves working outdoors, using hand and power tools, and safely handling physical tasks. Your work helps keep crops, equipment, and shared work areas ready for the team. Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting horticultural crops, following instructions and established work practices.
- Help install, monitor, and maintain irrigation systems; report leaks or other issues promptly.
- Clean and maintain farm machinery, hand tools, power tools, and work areas.
- Support farm tasks involving heavy lifting and heavy equipment operation, using care around people and equipment.
- Use basic math to measure materials, track quantities,



and complete routine task records. Qualifications Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, basic math, and the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely are important for daily tasks. Physical capability for heavy lifting and careful attention around farm machinery and heavy equipment support secure, reliable work. Preferred: Experience with irrigation, horticulture, maintenance, farm machinery, or heavy equipment operation is an advantage, along with a dependable, cooperative approach to supporting farm operations.
