Shape Camis’s AI-enabled platform architecture through Clean Architecture and secure-by-design engineering. Lead technical direction for software serving parks across North America.
As Principal Architect, you will define architectural vision for the Parks & Recreation platform. Partner with the CTO, engineering leadership, Product, and development teams on scalable, secure, maintainable systems. Guide complex decisions, emerging technology evaluation, and responsible AI-assisted development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evolve platform architecture and influence technical roadmaps
- Define system boundaries, integrations, data flows, and standards
- Lead designs for complex, high-risk initiatives
- Guide AI tools, workflows, governance,
and architectural patterns
- Mentor senior engineers and emerging architects
Requirements:
- 10+ years progressive software engineering experience
- At least 5 years in formal architecture leadership
- Recent history shipping code and reviewing designs
- Experience with AI-assisted development governance
- CI/CD, automated testing, production operations, and postmortems
