Lead theatrical lighting and electrical operations at Citadel Theatre in Edmonton as Acting Head of Electrics for a fixed production period.

This acting head of department position reports to the Director of Production and Technical Director. You will supervise the Electrics team, support productions, rental events, tours, and multiple Citadel spaces. The work includes lighting controls, special effects, equipment maintenance, drafting, budgeting, and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise Electrics activities for productions, rentals, tours, and events
- Program and operate computerized lighting controls and special effects
- Maintain equipment, facilities, inventories, paperwork, and production archives
- Coordinate crews, setups, operations, strikes,



and related department work
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, policies, licenses, and agreements

Requirements:

- Minimum five years’ professional theatre experience
- Post-secondary theatre training or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of stage lighting and equipment
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Vectorworks, and lighting programs
- First Aid and Fall Arrest certification with flexible availability
