The Role

We are seeking an Associate Pastor to join our team and contribute to the spiritual life and

leadership of the church. This role includes key areas of focus in worship, teaching, prayer, and

discipleship, while also participating in the broader responsibilities of pastoral ministry.

The position may be structured as either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s

availability, experience, and gifting.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Worship & Sunday Gatherings

- Collaborate in planning and leading Sunday services
- Support and develop worship and production teams
- Help create meaningful, engaging environments for corporate worship

Preaching & Teaching

- Preach regularly as part of the teaching team
- Communicate Scripture clearly and in ways that connect to everyday life
- Contribute to the overall teaching direction of the church

Prayer & Spiritual Formation

- Encourage and develop a culture of prayer within the church




- Help lead prayer initiatives and support prayer ministry teams
- Model a life of prayer and spiritual formation

Discipleship & Community Life

- Support and help develop small groups and discipleship pathways
- Equip and encourage leaders within the church
- Assist people in taking next steps in their faith

Team Life

- Work closely with the Senior Pastor and pastoral team
- Contribute to the overall vision and direction of the church
- Participate in regular planning, leadership, and ministry rhythms
- Maintain a visible and engaged presence in the life of the church

Qualifications

- A growing and active relationship with Jesus
- Experience in church or ministry leadership (3–5 years preferred)
- Ability to teach and communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team workplace
- Alignment with Vineyard values and theology
