Lead waste collection operations at Halton Region, applying contract oversight and staff supervision from the Halton Waste Management Site in Oakville. Hybrid work requires at least three onsite days weekly.Reporting to the Manager, Collection Operations, you will oversee daily solid waste collection programs and services. The work combines operational monitoring, contractor compliance, customer service, and workforce leadership. You will support service improvements, investigations, and emergency responses.Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily waste collection operations and service deliveryCoordinate responses to disruptions, issues, and emergenciesMonitor contractors, performance, inspections, and service standardsSupervise staff, assign work, and provide coachingManage escalated complaints,



investigations, and customer concernsRequirements:
Minimum five years’ related waste management experienceCollege diploma or university degree in an environmental fieldExperience supervising and administering operational contractsKnowledge of health, transportation, environmental, and dangerous goods regulationsExperience with municipal by-law enforcement and customer concernsBring waste management, contract administration, staff supervision, and customer service expertise to Halton Region’s collection operations team.
