Leading, directing and overseeing the daily and long-term operations of our Property department to meet our operational, financial and service requirementsDeveloping and executing the business strategy for the departmentProducing and underwriting profitable new and renewal business within the framework of ourProviding expert leadership to staffEmpowering,



enabling and unlocking the potential of team membersPromoting motivation and engagement within the teamDeveloping and maintaining a strong relationship with Head OfficeEffectively implementing and adapting global strategies in Canada while ensuring alignment and collaboration across all involved areasProviding superior service to our brokers and clients at all stages of the underwriting processCultivating new broker relationships and maintaining existing ones in support of our business objectivesDeveloping customized solutions for our clientsConducting broker and client presentations to support business developmentEnhancing our brand visibility by participating in industry events, socials, conferences, etcEnsuring proper file documentation and accuracy of policy documentsYour Profile (Skills, Qualifications & Experience)
10+ years of experience in property underwritingSolid technical knowledge of Property policy wordings and underwriting methodsEntrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to adapt and provide creative solutionsBachelor's degree and CIP designation required;
FCIP designation preferredExcellent time management skills and the ability to multi-taskExceptional negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishWorking knowledge of French and/or German is considered an assetProficiency with underwriting systems and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to balance team leadership responsibilities with portfolio management and business developmentobjectives.Occasional travel to key markets is expected.What We Offer
