The nurse,



as a member of the health care team, assists with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to promote the achievement and maintenance of each patient's optimal level of health and functions; develops and maintains her own clinical competency; performs other related and allied duties which contribute to the orderly and effective operation of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or a Diploma in Nursing with extensive experience
- 2 years Acute Care experience or 1-year critical care experience.
- Obtain and maintain education in clinical specialty
- BCLS certification.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Prince Edward Island College of Nursing & Midwifery
- A valuable previous work and attendance record.
- The successful applicant must provide a satisfactory criminal record check prior to beginning employment.

Other Qualifications:

- Preference will be given to candidates with previous Emergency/Critical Care experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with ACLS, PALS, CTAS and TNCC or other Emergency/Critical Care courses.
- CNA certification in Emergency Nursing or certification in Critical Care/Trauma areas would be considered an asset.
- Additional relevant education and experience will be considered an asset.

Salary Range: $39.52 - $49.37 per hour (RN2)

Bi-WeeklyHours: 47.25 Hours Bi-Weekly / Rotating 11.25 Hours Shifts and Every Second Weekend
