Women continue to face a retirement savings gap, but research presented at the 2026 CPBI FORUM suggests income isn't the only factor. How employees engage with their workplace savings plans—and the support they receive along the way—can make a meaningful difference.
For Alberta employers and plan sponsors, October 1, 2026 marks more than a change in how claims are processed. It represents a fundamental shift in who pays first — with implications for plan costs, contracts, administration and employee communication.
