Maintain BCIT water, gas, drainage, and heating systems as a full-time Plumber, troubleshooting emergencies and completing installations across campus.

BCIT’s Campus Planning and Facilities department seeks a regular, full time Plumber. You will maintain interconnected systems, backflow prevention assemblies, and plumbing fixtures while supporting safe campus operations. The work includes preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to trouble calls and troubleshoot complex system problems
- Perform preventative maintenance and correct identified deficiencies
- Repair fixtures, drains, valves, pipes, fittings, and sewer lines
- Estimate labour and materials for renovations and projects




- Coordinate contractors and maintain plumbing supply inventory

Requirements:

- Valid Trades Qualification or Interprovincial Trades Ticket
- Technical education or relevant building trades certifications
- Two years general trades experience plus relevant current experience
- Ability to work independently and resolve related issues
- Basic computer training and strong communication skills
