Respond to fire, medical, and specialized emergencies as a Probationary Firefighter with Ajax Fire & Emergency Services. Serve Ajax through rescue and patient care.

Ajax Fire & Emergency Services seeks community-minded leaders committed to public service, professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and respect. This full-time position works 24-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. Firefighters protect property and the workplace, stabilize emergency scenes, and assist residents during public calls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to fire emergencies and perform rescues
- Provide emergency patient care during medical emergencies
- Stabilize scenes, vehicles, and patients after collisions
- Maintain apparatus, equipment, and fire stations
- Assist with public education and participate in training

Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent education
- NFPA 1001 Levels 1 and 2 certification
- Valid Ontario Class DZ driver’s licence
- Current First Aid and CPR-BLS certifications
- Ability to manage demanding physical and emotional stress
