The Manager, Research & Development leads the portfolio’s R&D; function while owning product and process projects. This hands-on leadership role combines people management with technical execution in Bimbo Canada bakeries. Projects span formulation, trials, scale-up, validation, launch support, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead flatbread and breakfast innovation, renovation, and optimization pipelines
- Develop formulations and production processes for bakery products
- Execute lab bakes, plant trials, scale-up, and launch validations
- Support Operations through troubleshooting and root-cause investigations




- Coach food scientists and technologists while managing project delivery

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Food Science or Engineering
- At least eight years of progressive food industry R&D; experience
- At least five years in a leadership role
- End-to-end commercialization and technical transfer experience
- Knowledge of CFIA, FDA, food safety, and quality requirements
