Lead physical and psychological safety for Wood’s Homes in Calgary, strengthening risk management and regulatory compliance across Alberta locations.

Wood’s Homes seeks an experienced Health and Safety Manager to guide agency-wide safety leadership. The role partners with senior leadership, People & Culture, and operational teams. It develops safety systems, supports employee wellness, and maintains COR status across programs and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead health, safety, wellness, and risk management strategy
- Improve safety systems, policies, procedures, training, and corrective actions
- Oversee investigations, WCB, return-to-work, and accommodations
- Identify and mitigate operational, environmental, and workplace hazards
- Lead audits, inspections,



compliance reviews, and agency reporting

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or related field
- Minimum six years of progressive safety leadership experience
- COR Auditor certification or safety audit oversight experience
- CRSP designation preferred; other formal designations considered
- Knowledge of legislation, risk assessment, investigations, and psychological safety
