About the Company
We are a fast-growing North American freight brokerage providing transportation solutions across Canada and the U.S.
With a team of approximately 25 employees today and plans to more than double in size, the company is entering an important stage of growth and is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition & People Manager to help lead this expansion and build the People infrastructure required for the company's next stage.
The company operates in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and sales-driven environment and needs someone who approaches recruitment with the same persistence, urgency and commercial mindset as a strong salesperson.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of how the company finds, attracts, hires, develops and retains talent.
Approximately 60-70% of the role will focus on recruitment, with a particular emphasis on proactively identifying and hiring high-performing, commission-driven sales professionals. The remaining scope will include onboarding, retention, performance management, employee relations, HR processes and Ontario employment practices.

The company is looking for someone who has helped a growing organization scale, built or significantly improved recruitment and People processes, and can take ownership without needing a highly structured playbook.
You will be expected to remain hands-on while also providing the leadership and structure required to help the organization grow.
