Lead aviation safety assurance at Air Canada through risk analysis and compliance oversight across Cargo operations and ground activities. Frequent travel and irregular hours may be required.

As Principal, Corporate Safety Assurance and Compliance, you will manage safety reports, investigations, audits, and risk assessments. The position supports Cargo leadership through SIMS expertise, CSEQ analytics, regulatory compliance, and safety training. You will help address hazards and strengthen preventative strategies across operational arenas.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage ground safety reports, hazards, investigations, and preventative strategies
- Develop protocols for cargo safety submissions and investigations
- Conduct hazard verification, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring




- Support Transport Canada SMS and IATA IOSA assessments
- Present safety statistics, trends, concerns, and mitigations to leadership

Requirements:

- Relevant post-secondary diploma or degree; university education preferred
- Five-plus years in safety, quality, compliance, risk management, or oversight
- Quality auditing or quality management systems accreditation or certification
- CSEQ experience as both auditor and safety manager
- Robust aviation operations, presentation, communication, and analytical abilities
