This Supervisor oversees Pre-Analytic Services within UHN’s Laboratory Medicine Program. The work spans specimen management, phlebotomy, ECG, transport, and customer service. The position supports policy adherence, career development, operational planning, and reliable laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise laboratory, phlebotomy, ECG, and customer service personnel
- Organize staffing schedules and assess workforce needs across sites
- Coordinate professional development programs for assigned personnel
- Maintain policies, procedures, quality initiatives, and laboratory standards




- Participate in recruitment, budgeting, and on-call rotation

Requirements:

- Three-year Medical Laboratory Technology college program or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration
- Three to four years’ hospital or medical environment experience
- Two years’ laboratory supervisory experience
- Knowledge of applicable human resources legislation
