Front-End Loader Operator – Winter Snow Removal

We are hiring experienced Front-End Loader Operators for our winter snow removal operations. In this role, you will be stationed at commercial lots, roadways, or industrial facilities, operating heavy wheel loaders equipped with buckets or snow pushers to clear, windrow, stack, and load snow during winter storm cycles.

Because winter storms require continuous management, this position operates on 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights). The ideal candidate brings verified experience in loader operation, a valid commercial license with air brakes, and an uncompromising focus on worksite safety.

What you will be doing as a Front End Loader Operator:

- Equipment Operation: Safely maneuver front-end wheel loaders with snow pushers, blades, or standard buckets to clear lots, push snow back from access routes, and build stable snow stockpiles.
- Truck Loading: Rapidly and safely load high volumes of snow into tandem/tri-axle haul trucks for transport off-site.
- Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip circle checks, monitor fluid levels, clear ice accumulation from tracks/steps/windows, and log equipment conditions.
- Site Navigation & Safety: Maintain heightened spatial awareness around parked vehicles, structures, fire hydrants, pedestrian walkways, and ground crews.
- Coordination & Communication:



Maintain steady radio communication with site foremen, push trucks, and ground laborers to execute site clearing plans efficiently.
- Reporting: Complete electronic or paper shift logs, noting completed properties, hours worked, and any hazard reports.

What you should have as a Front End Loader Operator:

- Licensing: Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Commercial Driver’s License with an Air Brake Endorsement (mandatory).
- Operating Experience: Minimum 2+ years of heavy equipment operation, with direct experience operating front-end loaders in winter conditions strongly preferred.
- Availability: Ready and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, on short notice based on weather forecasts.
- Driving Record: Clean and verifiable commercial driver’s abstract.
- Physical Capabilities: Comfortable mounting/dismounting high machinery cabs in slippery conditions and sitting for extended shifts.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable transportation to dispatch yards or project sites.
