Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: Our client, an established nutraceutical manufacturing company in Woodstock, is looking to add an experienced Maintenance Technician to their growing team!

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment, particularly solid-dose encapsulation machines and adaptable packaging equipment such as bag fillers and stick-pack machinery.

The ideal candidate brings previous experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industry and understands the importance of equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, and minimizing production downtime.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Shift Structure:

- Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Enjoy a consistent four-day workweek!

Compensation Structure:

- $28–$35 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot equipment issues and support the reliability, operability, and maintainability of production machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules and monitor equipment performance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot solid-dose encapsulation equipment and flexible packaging machinery, including bag fillers and stick-pack equipment.
- Identify potential equipment issues, minimize production downtime, and provide feedback to support maintenance priorities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, warehouse, planning, engineering, quality assurance,



and other departments to resolve technical issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance activities with production scheduling and warehouse teams to minimize disruption to production.
- Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Follow established safety procedures, maintenance standards, and workplace policies.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a maintenance role within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industry is required.
- A Millwright licence or relevant skilled trades certification is considered an asset but is not required.
- Hands-on experience with solid-dose encapsulation machines is strongly preferred.
- Experience maintaining or troubleshooting flexible packaging equipment, such as bag fillers and stick-pack machinery, is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and industrial equipment reliability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on equipment performance, safety, and minimizing downtime.
