We are looking for experienced Carpenters to join our team at our Nisku manufacturing facility.

Candidates with experience in demolition, renovations and/or finishing carpentry are encouraged to apply. Experience in all areas is not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, shop drawings and specifications to determine project layouts, dimensions and required materials
- Prepare layouts and plan work sequences, including measuring, marking and selecting materials
- Remove and install cabinets, countertops, steel and wood doors, frames and hardware
- Remove and install appliances, including microwaves and refrigerators, and electronic equipment
- Remove, insulate and install interior wall panels
- Measure, cut and shape panels and other materials to required specifications
- Cut openings for electrical outlets, water lines and other building components
- Remove and install framing, subfloors, wall sheeting and roofing materials using appropriate tools and techniques
- Assemble and install prefabricated walls, ceilings, floors and roof systems
- Remove and install flooring materials using adhesives, rollers and other hand tools
- Set up and safely operate woodworking equipment, hand tools and power tools
- Identify and address quality issues with materials and construction processes
- Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience preferred.




- Robust commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and sketches
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools and materials required for the trade
- Strong knowledge of residential construction, demolition, repair, restoration and/or finishing techniques
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors and in confined workspaces
- Previous experience in modular construction or renovations is considered an asset
- Registration as an apprentice with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training is considered an asset
- Fall Arrest certification is considered an asset
- Experience with crane and rigging operations is considered an asset
- Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing and verbal communication
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute daily to Nisku

Work Location: Nisku, Alberta

All employees are based at our Nisku facility and must be able to commute daily.

Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour
