Our client is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their Banff team on a long-term contract basis. This role will focus on timecard review, overtime monitoring, and payroll-related reporting within a fast-paced recreational and entertainment environment.

Responsibilities:
Review daily employee timecards to verify hours and clock-in/clock-out entries.
Identify missing or inconsistent time entries and flag discrepancies before biweekly payroll deadlines.
Monitor overtime and highlight exceptions based on seasonal averaging agreements and scheduling rules.
Prepare Excel reports and summaries using workforce data from systems such as Workday.
Liaise with employees and managers to resolve timekeeping questions and discrepancies.
Track recurring timekeeping errors and identify trends affecting timesheet accuracy.
Ensure timecard information is complete and ready for payroll review every other Monday.
Escalate issues appropriately, maintaining accurate records without making payroll changes directly.

Requirements:
Previous experience in payroll support, timekeeping administration, or timesheet review.
Robust attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in employee hours.
Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and report creation.
Ability to analyze timesheet data and identify overtime or scheduling patterns.
Clear communication skills when addressing payroll-related questions with employees and managers.
Experience with payroll or workforce systems; Workday is an asset.




Strong organizational skills and ability to meet recurring deadlines in a high-volume environment.
