Job Overview

We are looking for energetic, hardworking, and reliable Kitchen Helpers and Front Counter Staff to join our growing team at our Harborfront location in Downtown Toronto.

We are seeking individuals who can multitask, work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment, assist with food preparation and customer service, and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.

Candidates must be comfortable performing a variety of duties, including food preparation, customer service, dishwashing, and general cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Helper Duties:

- Prepare food by washing, cutting, and chopping vegetables and other ingredients.
- Assist with frying and daily cooking activities.
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation and other kitchen operations.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and cooking areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Clean workstations, floors, storage areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Perform various kitchen duties as required.

Front Counter Staff Duties:

- Greet customers, take orders, and process payments using the POS system.
- Prepare sandwiches, chaat, and other quick-service food items.
- Pack takeaway and delivery orders accurately.




- Maintain cleanliness of tables, trays, counters, and customer seating areas.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, and general restaurant cleaning.
- Clean and maintain washrooms as required.
- Keep the front counter clean, organized, and hygienic.
- Assist other team members during busy periods to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Note: Both positions require flexibility and a willingness to assist with food preparation, customer service, and cleaning duties as needed.

Requirements

- Previous restaurant, kitchen, or rapid-food experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Indian or Maharashtrian street food is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and perform various duties throughout the shift.
- Comfortable with food preparation, dishwashing, and general cleaning.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Food Handler Certificate is preferred.

Harborfront, Downtown Toronto, Ontario

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
