Focus Flooring & Construction Inc. (FFC Inc.)

FFC Inc. is looking for an experienced Drywall & Metal Stud Framing Estimatorto help grow our construction division. We need someone who can price work accurately, build strong relationships with general contractors, and turn tender opportunities into profitable projects.

Compensation:

Base Salary, Car package, and commissions on gross sales.

Your responsibilities

- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and institutional projects, including metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, taping and finishing, acoustic ceilings, and related scopes.
- Review drawings, specifications, tender documents, and addenda to identify scope requirements and potential gaps.
- Complete accurate quantity takeoffs and develop labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare clear proposals outlining inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and pricing.
- Identify constructability concerns and opportunities for cost savings.
- Manage tender deadlines and multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Build relationships with general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Follow up on submitted bids, negotiate opportunities, and help secure new work.
- Prepare change order pricing and support project teams with scope questions.
- Provide organized handover packages for awarded projects, including budgets, takeoffs, quotations, and relevant documentation.




- Coordinate with operations on material requirements, scheduling, and job startup.

What you bring

- Proven estimating experience in commercial drywall and metal stud framing.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, assemblies, and installation methods.
- Practical knowledge of labour productivity, material costs, and project sequencing.
- Experience with digital takeoff and estimating software, along with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and take accountability for your work.
- A skilled approach to client relationships and bid follow-up.

Field experience in drywall or framing, an established network of general contractor contacts, and experience estimating acoustic ceilings or exterior wall assemblies are valuable assets.
