About Us:

3FAB Metal Manufacturing Ltd. is a premier, highly rated custom metal fabrication shop located in Calgary, Alberta. Since 2006, we have specialized in high-precision, custom B2B structural steel projects, architectural elements, and CSA-certified electrical enclosures. We pride ourselves on our advanced tech floor (including fiber lasers and CNC water jets) and our close-knit, quality-driven team. We are currently looking for a top-tier, CWB Certified Welder / Fabricator who can handle complex, custom builds from start to finish.

What You Will Do:

- Custom Fabrication: Read and interpret complex structural blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to lay out, fit, and build custom metal components with zero oversight.
- High-Quality Welding: Perform precision MIG and TIG (GMAW/GTAW/FCAW) welding on a variety of materials, primarily carbon steel, stainless steel, and thin-gauge aluminum.
- Assembly & Fitting: Set up jigs, fixtures, and use various shop hand tools to align, clamp, and tack-weld components into absolute square and perfect geometry.
- Quality Inspection: Verify all dimensions of completed assemblies against drawings to maintain 3FAB's strict quality standards.
- Machine Operation: Utilize standard fabrication shop equipment such as ironworkers, saws, grinders, and drills safely and efficiently.

What We Are Looking For:





- Certification: Current and valid CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) certifications are mandatory (multiple tickets/positions are a major asset).
- Experience: 5+ years of proven hands-on custom metal fabrication or structural shop experience. You must be a true "fabricator," not just a production welder.
- Technical Skills: Expert blueprint reading and strong spatial math skills for custom fitting. Exceptional puddle control on aluminum and stainless steel.
- Soft Skills: Sharp troubleshooting mindset, reliability, high pride in craftsmanship, and excellent teamwork.
- Language: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
