About the Job

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Team Lead – Cooler, to oversee operations in the cooler area of our facility.

This role is responsible for organizing incoming floral products, coordinating transfers, preparing orders, and leading a team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Cooler Operations & Inventory

- Organize floral products received in the cooler area and ensure proper storage.
- Unload trucks arriving from Miami and verify incoming shipments.
- Place identification stickers on received boxes for tracking and processing.
- Coordinate transfers of floral products to other branches.




- Conduct pre-enlistment of flowers for next-day production.
- Read, assemble, and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Participate in month-end inventory counts and reconciliation for the cooler area.

Team Leadership & Training

- Train and support cooler team members in daily operations and procedures.
- Implement measures to reduce errors in order picking and improve operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure health and safety compliance for all cooler team members, including PPE use and protected handling practices.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Collaborate with other area leads to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with logistics, production, and warehouse teams to resolve issues and align priorities.

- Problem Solving & Decision Making – Applies sound judgment to resolve operational issues, improve workflow, and reduce errors. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and leads initiatives to enhance team performance.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or floral operations.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a cold environment (0°C to 10°C) and handle water-filled containers.
- Physically fit and able to lift boxes up to 40 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Familiarity with inventory systems and order tracking tools.
- Flexible availability including weekends, overtime, and peak floral holidays).
